Canada Plans Crypto ATM Ban to Fight Scams
Canada said in its Spring Economic Update 2026 that it plans to ban cryptocurrency ATMs, which currently number nearly 4,000 in the country. The government said crypto ATMs are a primary method for scammers to defraud victims and for criminals to process illicit proceeds.
