Labor shortage, Japan Airlines will introduce humanoid robots

Mars Finance News, April 29: Japan Airlines announced that starting in May, it will begin trial efforts to introduce humanoid robots to carry out ground service work at Tokyo Haneda Airport, in order to save labor. According to a report by the BBC on the 28th, the two-year pilot program is a collaboration between Japan Airlines and GMO AI robot company. In a statement, Japan Airlines said that ground service operations are highly dependent on human labor. Traditional fixed automation equipment and single-function robots are difficult to adapt to existing airport infrastructure and complex operational processes. By contrast, using humanoid robots does not require major modifications to existing airport facilities or aircraft structures. (Xinhua News Agency)
