I now have only one principle when playing with L2/mainnet: don't think of "saving gas" as saving trouble... L2 experience is indeed smooth, a couple of clicks and it's done, but when it comes to new chains/new L2 launching incentives to pull TVL, I understand the complaints from old users about "mining, selling, and dumping," and I tend to hold back more as the hype grows. If I really want to get in, I’ll first throw a small amount, like buying a ticket, to see if I can cross-chain smoothly and withdraw back to the mainnet; I’ll only leave the "must-mainnet" stuff on the mainnet, don’t get stuck in bridges just to save that tiny gas fee.

To avoid impulsive orders, I set a very simple habit for myself: when I see the chat flooding or KOLs making pie-in-the-sky promises, I first switch my wallet balance to a secondary account, and before bed, I check once more if I still want to buy... if I still want to the next day, I buy a small amount; if not, I just forget it. Even with FOMO, I need to have a brake.
