Recently, people keep asking me, "Isn't the blockchain on-chain real-time? Why does what you say differ from what I see?" Basically, what you're seeing is the perspective from a certain node/RPC; it might be queuing, retrying, or using cache; plus, the indexer has to scan blocks, write to the database, and feed data to the frontend. Even a delay of a few seconds can make you think, "The on-chain data has changed / someone is malicious / I've been scammed." In fact, many times it's just that the "on-chain" you're looking at is delayed.

The same goes for the NFT royalty disputes—everyone argues over secondary transaction data, but different platforms and different indexing sources can categorize transactions differently... what looks like a conclusion is actually just a matter of data standards. Anyway, I no longer chase explanations; I accept randomness: look at multiple RPCs, don't take a single dashboard as the truth, and don't stake your position on "what I see is the fact."
