Recently, I've been browsing PFP projects again, and the more I look, the more it seems like a membership card + emotional value bundled for sale... Short-term attention is really appealing, when the group is lively, profile pictures all turn into "identity," but once things cool down, there's only a picture left.

Brands aiming for longevity, frankly, still depend on whether you're willing to keep giving holders reasons: events, collaborations, storylines, even a little governance participation; otherwise, it's just like limited-time skins.

As for staking and shared security with that "compound yield" approach, I understand the criticism of it being a copycat: people aren't against the yields, they're afraid that in the end, only the narrative remains to support it.
The same applies to PFPs—narratives can boost enthusiasm temporarily, but ultimately, it comes down to experience and relationships.

What I fear missing out on most isn't the opportunity itself, but realizing after the hype dies down that I never truly integrated into it.
