Golden Finance reports that on April 29, JPMorgan Chase appointed former Goldman Sachs executive Oliver Harris to lead its blockchain division Kinexys. Harris will focus on commercializing Kinexys applications and strengthening collaborations with institutional clients. He previously served as CEO of ArdaGlobal, managing director of Goldman Sachs’ Digital Assets division in the Americas, and worked at JPMorgan Chase for six years, leading the development of the Quorum blockchain platform.
The Kinexys blockchain payment network was launched in 2019, processing $5 billion in transactions daily as of December last year. In November last year, JPMorgan Chase began offering its deposit token JPM Coin to institutional clients, enabling fund transfers and receipts via the Base blockchain.
