Lately, the mainnet gas fees have started to be annoying again, transferring funds requires watching the mempool for a long time, I feel like I'm waiting for a food delivery order... Ordinary users don't really need to hard fork the mainnet, for everyday small transactions I prefer to use L2, fast and cheap, the experience is indeed smooth; but if you really want to do large transactions, or contract permissions/asset migrations, it's still more reliable to go back to the mainnet, basically it's "cheap daily use on the side road, important things on the highway."
NFT royalties are also quite similar: creators want stable income, but secondary markets worry about liquidity being locked, either side can make a case. Anyway, my own boundary is: I don't need to be understood, but I will try to clearly assess the risks—like with cross-chain bridges, I don't chase speed, I prefer to wait a few more minutes for confirmation, fewer heartbeats. That's all for now.
