Sometimes I get so caught up in watching the charts that I forget to look at the on-chain data… That kind of “unlimited” contract authorization is really just like sleeping with the door unlocked: nothing happens normally, but when something does, you can’t chase it down. Honestly, you think you’re managing your positions, but in reality, the permissions have long been handed over to someone else.
Recently, Layer2 projects have been arguing over TPS/fees/subsidies, which has been pretty frustrating for me. No matter how lively the ecosystem gets, those few old authorizations in my wallet are the quietest landmines. When my emotional indicators get overly excited, I tend to confirm transactions faster, only to realize afterward: what exactly did I authorize?
I’m not adding any more positions for now. First, I’ll revoke the unlimited authorizations for my frequently used addresses, then go to sleep.
