A person, a normal person, would absolutely not have wife, talent, fortune, and longevity at the same time.

I have a distant relative who started a design company about seven or eight years ago, from being a poor kid to having children, luxury cars, and mansions, with a loving marriage—living a smooth and prosperous life, truly a winner in life.
But in the second half of the 25th year, his wife suddenly was diagnosed with breast cancer, and his daughter was also suddenly diagnosed with depression.
He was running around for treatment, and on top of that, the industry suddenly became sluggish, so now the company has collapsed, and he’s in debt.
A good family suddenly fell apart.
Another client in foreign trade, doing very large business, making several hundred million yuan in profit a year, has four children.
The eldest died young, the second one went abroad and never came back.
The third has depression and will attack his parents as soon as he sees them.
The fourth is addicted to games every day, dressing as a woman.
Honestly, everyone is very helpless, with no way out.
Do you think rich people are fools? Are they really that bad at educating their children? No, not at all.
Examples like these are countless.
Many people don’t understand why this happens; actually, it’s just the natural order of heaven and humanity being full.
That is, if your life begins to go smoothly in all aspects, and everything seems fine, then you should be on alert in advance.
Because this already doesn’t conform to the laws of heaven.
There’s a saying: water overflows when full, the moon wanes when full.
But if you look at it the other way, if your life is still chaotic, things are bad here and there, isn’t that something to be grateful for?
Because these minor troubles generally won’t cause you to overturn the boat or fall into big pits.
Zuo Zongyun named his study “Seeking Deficiency,” which is truly a great wisdom.
I tell you, because the whole process of life is just one trouble after another.
You can’t be completely peaceful; your life will inevitably be one problem after another.
It’s not just debt or financial issues; sometimes health has small problems, or children are disobedient, or there’s betrayal or infidelity between spouses.
But I tell you, from a macro perspective of life, actually, at these times, you are the safest.
So, as I said at the beginning, in a person’s life, having wife, talent, fortune, and longevity at various stages—if you can have one or two of these, you are already very fortunate.
I tell you, in other aspects, even if they are a bit frustrating, you don’t need to be too discouraged.
Taoism speaks of “reversal is the movement of the Tao,” meaning that once things reach perfection, they will inevitably develop in the opposite direction, causing yin and yang to reverse.
So, in fact, some small troubles in life are really not bad things.
Life is like a large Sai Weng losing his horse—who knows if it’s a blessing or a curse?
Many times, power outages, traffic jams, losing things, being laid off, losing money—all seem very frustrating, but in fact, they might help you avoid greater disasters.
Never pursue a perfect life; life is about overall smoothness, but not everything being perfect.
Because that would violate the laws of heaven and humanity.
