According to Crypto World News, at an annual data release press conference, Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) said that in recent years, some bribery activities have begun shifting to cryptocurrencies, making corruption tactics increasingly covert. The authorities stated that emerging technologies have made cross-border crimes easier to commit, forcing law enforcement agencies to strengthen cooperation with overseas institutions to piece together an evidence chain. CPIB emphasized that it has set up a dedicated team to handle the investigation, evidence collection, and analysis of relevant cryptocurrencies, and continues to improve investigative technologies. Over the past year, the authorities have also strengthened anti-corruption cooperation with high-risk private industries such as construction, manufacturing, and warehousing.
