CryptoWorld News reports that President Trump has nominated G. Hunter McMaster II to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Financial Markets. Before joining the Treasury Department, McMaster served as head of trading at Key Square Group, a macro hedge fund founded by the current Treasury Secretary. The current Treasury Secretary announced the nomination on Tuesday evening, and the nomination requires Senate confirmation. McMaster joined the Treasury Department in the first month of Trump’s second term as Director of Policy and Planning and is currently an adviser to the Secretary.
