Bitcoin will reshape traditional finance, industry leaders say at Bitcoin 2026 Conference

CryptoWorld News reports that on the Satoshi Nakamoto stage at the Bitcoin 2026 Conference, industry leaders pointed out that Bitcoin’s institutional growth is being driven by cooperation between competitors. Together, they are building the tools, products, and infrastructure needed to bring this asset into mainstream finance. During the panel discussion, David Bailey, CEO of Nakamoto Inc., Alexandre Laizet of Capital B, and Dylan Leclair of Metaplanet explored this industry dynamic, emphasizing that open collaboration among direct competitors may be the defining characteristic of the current push to bring digital assets to institutions. Despite their optimism, the panelists were also candid about the structural obstacles they face and clearly stated that Bitcoin is “still in its early stages.” Leclair noted that 99% of institutional capital currently cannot access Bitcoin or Bitcoin ETFs, mainly due to investment restrictions imposed by many funds.
