Golden Finance reported that on April 29, according to information from the U.S., insiders disclosed that, because U.S. President Trump is dissatisfied with the new negotiation proposal put forward by Iran, Iran may submit a revised version to the mediating party Pakistan within the next few days. Insiders familiar with the mediation process said that after Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi wraps up his visit to Russia on the 28th, he will return to Tehran, where he is expected to brief Iran’s leadership and hold consultations. It is understood that Pakistan is expected to receive Iran’s revised proposal within a few days, but the situation could change at any time; the final outcome largely depends on whether the Iranian side will put forward a plan that is more acceptable to the U.S. side. Iran recently, through Pakistan, submitted a new negotiation proposal to the United States. According to the disclosure, the proposal calls for a phased approach to negotiations: the first phase is to end the war, the second phase focuses on navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and the third phase involves Iran’s nuclear issue.
