Trump Claims Iran Will Collapse Soon, New Peace Proposal Begins Preparation
Donald Trump claims that Iran is currently in a state of collapse amid internal turmoil affecting the country. Through a post on Truth Social on (28/4), Trump states that Iran has urgently contacted the United States to request the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible to address the leadership and economic crises they are facing.
In response to the situation, Iran is reportedly preparing a revision of a new peace proposal after their initial offer was officially rejected by Washington. A report from the Pakistani mediator states that this revised document is expected to be submitted within the next few days as an effort to restart negotiations that had previously stalled. Currently, Iran's Foreign Minister is said to be conducting intensive consultations with Iran's leadership after completing his visit to Russia.
The U.S. government plans to present its official response to Iran's move in the near future. Although negotiations are still being pursued, Trump signals that military action options remain open if diplomacy ends without tangible results. The main focus of the United States remains on demanding the cessation of uranium enrichment and nuclear weapon development by Iran as the primary conditions for normalizing relations between the two countries.
