This Tuesday, Elon Musk testified in court that his lawsuit against OpenAI and its executives has long gone beyond a single corporate dispute, directly pointing to the future of artificial intelligence—a technology capable of destroying all of humanity. Musk accused OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and President Greg Brockman of conspiring to deceive him and betraying OpenAI’s original non-profit mission. Currently, Musk has filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, demanding that OpenAI pay $130 billion in damages, force the company to restore its non-profit structure, and remove Altman and Brockman from their board positions.
