Tether Partners with Canaan to Develop Modular Bitcoin Mining System

Tether officially collaborates with Canaan and ACME Swisstech to develop modular Bitcoin mining infrastructure on Tuesday (28/4). Unlike conventional machines that are closed-unit, this system uses independently adjustable hash board modules. This move aims to give Tether full control over energy efficiency and large-scale operational costs.
Tether CEO, Paolo Ardoino, stated that this modular design makes it easier to optimize immersion cooling systems and software. This technology is designed to break through the limitations of standard hardware, which has long been considered expensive to upgrade. With this system, each computing component can be upgraded separately without replacing the entire machine unit.
This initiative supports Tether's ambition to become the world's largest Bitcoin miner by the end of 2025. In addition to hardware, Tether has also strengthened its ecosystem by launching its own mining operating system (MOS). This strategy underscores Tether's focus on securing the Bitcoin network while expanding its physical infrastructure footprint globally.
