I set a rule for myself: before rushing to click "Support/Oppose" on a DAO proposal, first look for two things—where the money is going and where the power is shifting. Many so-called "incentive plans" are quite lively, but honestly, they just aim to fatten the voting power, and the next round, whoever speaks louder gets to decide; there are also those that involve changing parameters or committee seats, which seem very technical but are actually redrawing the map. Recently, modularization and the narrative around DA layers have come back up, developers look excited, users look confused, and I become more cautious: the more I don’t understand, the more likely it is that there’s a design hiding the key from everyone. Anyway, I think about an exit before voting; otherwise, you might think it’s governance, but in reality, it’s just someone else being carried on a sedan chair.
