While glancing at the chain during my commute, I suddenly thought: a cross-chain transfer, to put it simply, is "I entrust you to carry the message," but who exactly am I entrusting it to?

IBC is more like a set of rules for a locker system, where both chains need to run light nodes to verify each other's proofs; but many bridges are more like finding an intermediary group chat, where the signer/multisig/oracle/ordering service/frontend—any one of them dropping the ball could cause a failure.
You might think you're trusting the "bridge," but actually you're trusting that long chain of components and their operations.

Recently, memes and celebrity shoutouts have diverted attention again, and newcomers always want to chase hot trends across chains.
All I can say is, don’t rush to be the last runner…
Before crossing over, think carefully: what am I actually trusting, and in the worst case, can I handle it?
That’s all for now, the subway has arrived.
