Crypto Exchange Gemini Launches Agentic Trading, Allows AI Trading on User Accounts
The official Gemini crypto exchange has launched Gemini Agentic Trading, making it the first exchange in the United States to offer autonomous trading tools directly through their platform. This feature allows users to connect AI agents like Claude or ChatGPT to their exchange accounts using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to execute trading strategies independently.
Through this integration, AI can act on behalf of users to monitor the market, manage risks, and place buy-sell orders automatically. Gemini also introduces Trading Skills, a modular toolkit that enables AI agents to pull real-time price data, monitor order book depth, and access historical data for technical analysis purposes.
