The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approves 690 industry standards

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) has approved 690 industry standards, including the “Technical Specification for Artificial Intelligence Deep Synthetic Image Systems”.

These standards cover a wide range of fields, from chemicals, metallurgy, and automobiles to electronics and telecommunications. MIIT also approved an amendment to the telecommunications industry standard and 28 foreign language versions of other industry standards.

According to the announced list, the telecommunications group has the largest number of standards with 109, followed by mechanical engineering with 120, textiles with 92, and ferrous metallurgy with 81. Some fields such as gold, light industry, and military-civil materials have only a very small number of standards.

MIIT stated that the amendments will take effect from the date of announcement.
