Recently, people keep asking "Why does on-chain data always get stuck for a moment," and I think it's probably not your internet connection... More likely, it's the intermediate links in the chain of indexers/Subgraph/RPC queuing up. To put it simply, what you're seeing isn't the "chain" itself, but a "ledger cache" that's been organized for you by others. When RPC rate limits, or the indexer lags behind by a few blocks, the front end suddenly seems to forget everything for a second. Especially in cross-chain scenarios, when Chain A confirms a transaction, but Chain B's index hasn't caught up yet—you might think the transaction hasn't arrived, but in reality, the data just hasn't been "translated" yet.

Looking at public opinion, tying ETF capital flows, US stock market risk appetite, and crypto price movements together feels similar: everyone is watching the same dashboard, but the data sources behind it update at different frequencies, which can lead to misinterpretation. Anyway, I now prefer to check two sources and, if necessary, look directly at the original events—it's slower but more reassuring.
