Crypto sector news, as token fundraising weakening and structural fragmentation, crypto projects are shutting down, facing limited options for restructuring or recovery. This year, the crypto industry is experiencing a wave of closures, affecting multiple projects from trading platforms to analysis tools. In April, decentralized email service Dmail announced its closure due to high infrastructure costs, failed fundraising, and low token utility. Restructuring advisor and crypto holding company Echo Base CEO Roshan Dharia said, “In previous cycles, projects could extend their runway through new issuances or venture capital, but this path is essentially closed, so losses are recognized earlier, often resulting in shutdown rather than recovery.”
