I started recording what exactly "waiting for confirmation" on cross-chain bridges is waiting for. The more I record, the more I feel it's not about ceremony: who holds the multi-signature keys today, whether there's an abnormal order of signatures, whether there is any delay or blockage in the oracle price feeding/status feeding, all of these can leave small traces on the chain.

In the past, I would get annoyed when I saw "pending," but now I tend to look at the call chain a bit more; taking a little longer might be giving myself a window to retreat.
Recently, the community has been arguing over privacy coins and compliance with mixing, which is quite divisive. To be honest, the bridge here is more pragmatic: whether you want privacy or compliance, it ultimately comes down to evidence of "who can change the status, who can approve the release"...
That's all for now, keep recording.
