Sources: Iran is expected to soon submit a revised peace proposal
BlockBeats News, April 28 — According to informed sources told CNN, after U.S. President Trump stated he would not accept the earlier version of the proposal, Pakistan, involved in the mediation process, is expected to receive a revised proposal from Iran aimed at ending the war within the next few days. The sources said that Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghazi will return to Tehran after visiting Russia and is expected to consult with the country’s leaders. Due to difficulties in communication with Supreme Leader Mujeetaba Khamenei (whose whereabouts are kept secret), the process has been progressing slowly.
Trump previously stated that he would not accept the version submitted by Iran last weekend — which proposed ending the war first and leaving the thorny issues related to Iran’s nuclear program to be addressed in later stages. The sources said that the process is still ongoing and full of uncertainties, largely depending on whether Iran will propose a revised version that the U.S. finds more acceptable. (Gold Ten)
