Layer2, my current mindset is pretty simple: for daily small transactions, don’t force interactions on the mainnet, as gas fees can cause the experience to crash instantly. Frankly, the mainnet is more like a place for “final settlement + large transfers,” which is expensive but reassuring; L2 should be considered a cost-effective and worry-free bus, moving around quickly.

Actually, the compromise is: don’t cross back and forth frequently, choose one or two L2s that you find easy to use and stay there permanently, concentrate your interactions, and once you accumulate a certain amount, settle everything on the mainnet at once. Recently, AI Agents and automated trading have become popular again. I see many people being pushed by narratives to click various scripts, but I’d rather earn a little less than give out permissions randomly. If it can be done manually, do it manually; if permissions can be revoked, revoke them… In a bear market, the safest thing is still to do nothing, but if you really need to act, don’t treat security as a freebie for transaction fees.
