Solana Foundation Proposes Falcon Signatures for Quantum Resistance
Solana Foundation proposed the Falcon signature scheme as a quantum-resistant security solution for the Solana network. The foundation said on April 27 that Anza and Jump Crypto’s Firedancer have started initial development after identifying Falcon as the preferred digital signature approach. The foundation added that practical quantum computing is still years away, but said Falcon is well researched and ready for deployment.
