I just saw that Pharos closed a quite significant Series A funding round of $44 million. The interesting part here is who is behind it: Sumitomo Corporation through its corporate investment arm, snzholding, Chainlink, and FlowTraders, along with some major global funds that preferred to stay under the radar.

Pharos's proposal is quite clear: they are building the institutional-level financial infrastructure that the market needs to truly connect TradFi with DeFi on a global scale. This isn't new in the discourse, but when you see corporations like Sumitomo investing in this Series A round, it seems the market is starting to take it more seriously.

What catches my attention is the profile of the investors. It's not just pure crypto capital, but also traditional players who understand conventional financial markets. That suggests that the convergence between traditional finance and on-chain is not just hype, but something serious institutions are betting will happen.

If Pharos manages to deliver on its promises, this funding round could be a significant turning point for institutional adoption of DeFi infrastructure. It's worth keeping this on the radar.
