Recently, someone asked me what the real fears are with cross-chain bridges. Honestly, there are only three: multi-signature, human error; oracles, feeding data; and your phrase “still waiting for confirmation.” Waiting for confirmation sounds old-fashioned, but it can really block a lot of “post-transaction and then fix the record” shady operations, especially when the network is congested or on the edge of a rollback. Those rushing to confirm are often the first to get exploited.

These days, the calendar for staking unlocks and token unlocks keeps getting discussed back and forth. As soon as the selling pressure and anxiety kick in, people want to cross over and rush ahead… I can only say, bridges are not teleporters; they just bundle and move risks around. By the way, a little gossip: MEV (front-running strategies) love to target your moment of impatience. Anyway, I now prefer to take my time when crossing, paying more attention to who is signing and whether the confirmation conditions are clearly written, to avoid blaming the chain later.
