Lately, running testnet points has been a bit maddening… At first, I really took it as practice, but then someone in the group yelled, “This wave has a high probability of an airdrop,” and my mindset immediately turned into expectation. In the end, it was like the more I ran, the less willing I was to stop—I kept pouring gas and time into it.

My “stop-loss” for myself is pretty tacky: on each chain / each project, I spend at most two nights plus a small fixed cost (if I go over, I treat it as if I never got lucky). If the interaction checklist still needs me to go back and fill in after the third round, I just delete it. And when it comes to projects that require binding a bunch of social accounts or pulling in referrals, I’m even more likely to bail. Tuning my attention like it’s “mining” just sounds exhausting—so in the end, it’s probably the platform that cashes in on the hype, while we only get screenshots.

Anyway, the airdrop season is like going to harvest seafood—you take what you can, but if you really can’t get anything, don’t burn yourself out into a tool… That’s it for now. I’ll see tomorrow.
