Parallelism and sharding have recently become popular again; the narrative sounds very beautiful, but I see it more plainly: once the money goes in, how does it come out? Bridges, cross-chain routing, aggregators—who holds the permissions, can they pause, can they blacklist—if you don’t spot these at a glance, don’t get carried away too quickly.
On-chain data tools and tagging systems are criticized for being laggy or misleading, which I think is normal; tags always follow the funds. To really prevent “carpet bombing,” focus on upgrade points of the contract, admin keys, abnormal large transfers, and newly added whitelist addresses.
I treat complexity as an enemy: the fewer layers, the better; think through the exit paths before acting, just do it this way for now.
