Recently, I got a bit too absorbed in grinding testnet points. I originally did it just to practice, but once I calculated, “Maybe I can exchange for something,” my mindset instantly turned into leverage-like expectations… plain and simple: once that expectation shows up, people start to feel reluctant to stop.

My stop-loss rules are pretty rudimentary: every day I set a maximum amount of time / gas / number of actions, and once I reach the limit, I close the webpage and don’t keep debating with myself, “Just one more round is enough.” And whenever I realize I’m about to click on a shady link or rush to approve/authorize, I immediately conclude I’m getting carried away and stop right there.
Lately, hardware wallets have been constantly out of stock, and phishing links are flying everywhere; the more “free points” there are, the easier it is to let your guard down… I’d rather grind less and not keep going, than wake up one day to find my wallet liquidated. (This time it’s not leverage—it’s my IQ.) Let’s see what else.
