These days, when running tasks, I keep encountering situations like "I clearly transferred, but it still hasn't shown up on the chain"… To put it simply, what you see on the blockchain is actually a version translated for you by someone else. If any of the intermediate nodes, RPC, or indexing steps get stuck, it will be "late." Especially since some wallets or dashboards default to unstable nodes, one second they're there, and the next second, it's like a broken bridge.
So don't be too superstitious about "the blockchain is the truth." Sometimes, it's just that the window you're looking through is a bit slow. Recently, blockchain games have been crashing everywhere, with inflation and studios increasing activity, causing coin prices to spiral, and data dashboards might even delay giving you a false sense of "it's okay"... Anyway, my current approach is to check two sources to compare, so I don't scare myself.
