I find that floating losses affect sleep more than floating gains, and it's really not being petty... When on paper you're making money, the brain defaults to "Anyway, I haven't taken the profit yet," and the mindset can still be carefree; once there's a floating loss, it's like being forced to admit you might have been wrong, even if the loss isn't much, you'll keep thinking: Should I cut, will it get worse the longer I hold? To put it simply, losses feel more like a "mistake happening in my hands," more glaring than making money.

Recently, before and after that mainstream public chain upgrade/maintenance, everyone in the group was guessing whether ecosystem projects would migrate. I also found it pretty frustrating: uncertainty kicks in, floating losses become even noisier, even though it's a technical/governance issue, it all ends up as emotional fluctuations. Now I actually read the original text before voting, otherwise, just guessing makes it harder to sleep. That's it for now, tonight I’ll try not to watch the market too closely.
