When the network is congested, don’t keep blaming “it’s stuck.” Your transaction is actually just queued in the mempool—like waiting for the subway. If you set a normal Gas fee, you’ll be shoved into the back row, while a line of anxious people in front pay more to cut the queue. Then you can only watch helplessly as your status shifts from “almost there” to “wait a moment”… Even more frustrating is that some wallets will pop up a bunch of “accelerate/cancel” options; if you tap too fast, you’re likely to end up flustered and making mistakes.

Recently, hardware wallets have been out of stock, and phishing links are everywhere. At times like this, the biggest fear is: your transaction is stuck, your mindset breaks, and you turn around to search “how to accelerate,” then click into a fake site and approve/sign everything in a mess. Plain and simple: on-chain congestion mostly costs you time and transaction fees, but clicking around impulsively is what really makes you lose money. Stay calm first, look at your addresses a couple more times, and don’t make it harder for yourself.
