Last week, I reviewed this year's transaction records and almost lost myself... To be honest, the most painful part at the end of the year isn't the profit or loss, but the fact that you can't even remember which chain, wallet, or platform those transactions came from.
My current simple method is: every time I cross platforms or chains, I immediately take a screenshot and export a CSV file to my hard drive, and casually write a note in the sheet like "Why did I transfer this one," otherwise after three months, all I’ll have left is a note saying "Was I out of my mind at the time?"
By the way, with recent social mining and fan token schemes that promote "attention as mining," it's lively and all, but tax reporting won't forgive you just because you're "mining attention." In the end, you're still the one reconciling a bunch of small inflows and outflows...
Anyway, after getting burned three times, I’ve learned my lesson: keep detailed records from the start, don’t wait until the end of the year to tough it out.
