ZachXBT: The World token mechanism is just as malicious as FTX
Techub News reports that ZachXBT posted on the X platform saying that he has launched severe criticism of Altman’s World (formerly Worldcoin) project and its token WLD. ZachXBT said bluntly that WLD’s token model—one that is “predatory” in the early stages of listing and has extremely low circulating supply—is just as bad as SBF and the collapsed exchange FTX.
ZachXBT pointed out that the World project obtains biometric data by distributing small amounts of $WLD tokens to people in low-income countries, which is essentially “stealing” privacy. Although the technology claims it is intended to prove “human identity,” the actual result has spawned an underground black market for account verification. In addition, he criticized that the token’s supply is growing at an unsustainable pace, while insiders regularly cash out through over-the-counter (OTC) trades. Previously, Musk had also repeatedly criticized Altman’s projects publicly, saying they have serious flaws in terms of ethics and business model.
