When emotions run high, memes and narratives easily pull people into FOMO. Basically: you think you're chasing the trend, but in reality, the trend is chasing your hand.



Recently, I’ve been doing a little exercise for myself: before entering, I write down the maximum amount I’m willing to lose on this meme, then set a stop-loss there and don’t wait for my brain to start making stories. It’s fine to watch the excitement, but don’t let your position inflate along with the hype. Anyway, I’m the extroverted type who easily gets carried away, so I can only rely on rules to save myself. That’s it for now—don’t let a bunch of shares also "de-anchor" my wallet.
