I used to get a bit obsessed with buying PFPs, changing my avatar made me feel like I entered the "circle," and later I realized that many member benefits, to be honest, are just a temporary focus; once the hype passes, the group is left with only meme packs. Now I care more about whether the brand can give a sustained "reason to repurchase": for example, can I really meet people at offline events, can I use the products, are governance votes genuine and not just for show, and do content updates keep coming without breaks... Otherwise, it's just like new L1/L2 projects that incentivize to pull TVL; it's normal for old users to complain about mining, selling, and so on, I understand the emotions. Anyway, now when I buy a membership, I first ask myself: will I still want to stay after a year? If not, I just skip it, and save the money to do some more stable LP, it’s a bit苦 (bitter), but at least I won’t be left with an empty cup after drinking.
