🇺🇸 The White House confirms that President Trump and the National Security Team have discussed the proposal from Iran

- Iran has proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz if the U.S. lifts the blockade and the war ends, and to leave nuclear issues for later negotiations
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed disagreement, stating that the so-called “reopening of the strait” essentially means ships still need to get permission from Iran, may have to pay fees, and could be attacked if they do not comply
- He emphasized that this is not free access, but a system where Iran controls who can use the international shipping route and how much they must pay
