Former President Trump recently said he “dislikes” prediction markets, but has now changed his tune to “must do”
According to Cointelegraph, U.S. President Trump @realDonaldTrump just expressed his “dislike” for prediction markets a few days ago, but on April 28th, he softened his stance. Trump told reporters in Florida: “Many other countries are doing prediction markets, if the U.S. doesn’t, we’ll be left out.” He admitted that some “very smart people” like this product.
Earlier, on April 24th, Trump responded that he was “dissatisfied” with prediction markets, believing that “the whole world has become a bit like a casino.” Additionally, Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., has invested in Polymarket @Polymarket and serves as its advisor, as well as being an advisor to Kalshi @Kalshi. Moreover, Trump Media & Technology Group previously announced plans to collaborate on launching prediction market products on Truth Social.
