ADNOC informs some buyers that they can pick up their goods outside the Strait of Hormuz.
CryptoWorld News: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has notified some long-term clients that they can retrieve cargo near Fujairah outside the Persian Gulf. ADNOC told buyers that they can retrieve crude grades, including Upper Zakum, via ship-to-ship (STS) transshipment near Fujairah. These cargoes are mainly scheduled to be shipped in May. Upper Zakum crude oil is typically shipped from the Zirkou Island port located deep within the Persian Gulf, where there is no pipeline access to the mainland. Supplying cargo via STS transshipment near Fujairah means that these crudes are already on ships outside the Strait of Hormuz. It is still unclear when and how these Upper Zakum crudes will pass through the strait, as passage through the Strait of Hormuz remains restricted due to the blockade by Iran and the United States. The UAE does have oil pipelines leading to Fujairah, but they are mainly used to transport the country’s flagship Murban crude.
