🔴 Today, a calm prevails in the markets ahead of the “FED Storm.” 🧵 Before the critical Fed meeting on April 28–29, investors are setting up their defense line. From US futures to crypto, from Borsa Istanbul to gold—here’s the morning recap: 👇
🔶 🇺🇸 US Front and Futures: While Wall Street closed slightly lower yesterday, futures started the day cautiously. Dow Jones futures are slightly down around the 49,332 level. The change of the guard at Apple (CEO John Ternus’s era) and the earnings season of tech giants will be the key factors determining the indices. For the S&P 500, 7,150 points is the critical resistance.
🔶 🪙 Crypto World: #Bitcoin (BTC) is trying to hold above the $76,000 level. In the last month alone, institutional inflows of more than $1 billion into US-based crypto funds show that “bull” appetite is still alive. However, volatility (fluctuations) in leveraged trading may increase ahead of the FOMC decision—watch out!
🔶 🇹🇷 Domestic Market and BIST: Borsa Istanbul VİOP started the day “flat” (sideways) from 16,800 points. While the USD/TRY is balancing around 45.03, today’s main watch item is the TCMB liquidity data and inflation expectations to be announced. A tightening in liquidity could weigh on trading volumes in BIST.
🔶 🛢️ Commodities and Macro Risks: Due to the tension in the Strait of Hormuz, Brent Oil is trying to stay above $100. This, in turn, is fueling the global perception that “inflation is not easing.” Meanwhile, #Altın gold ounces are trapped between high bond yields (%4,28) and geopolitical risks; the search for direction continues.
