Over the past couple of days, I’ve been looking at that MEV “queue jumping” setup again: basically, you think you’re queued up to buy, but in reality someone squeezes you aside through a back door. It’s not just the dog-walking meme crowd that’s affected—regular swap users also see their slippage mysteriously jump, and placed orders get “picked out” and farmed. The whole vibe is, “I hit confirm—so why does it feel like I still owe someone a bit?”

It also reminded me of that argument over NFT royalties, which is pretty similar: one side says creators need to be able to survive, while the other says secondary liquidity needs to breathe. Ordering/sorting is the same story—fairness sounds wonderful, but in the end it often turns into whoever is better at playing the rules.

I’ve recently lowered my expectations: on-chain, there aren’t that many “as it should be” scenarios—more like, “I can’t believe it’s still like this”… And honestly, it’s a bit more relaxing—there’s less you can do, so don’t keep chasing too hard. For now, just like this.
