Ethereum does not chase highs nor miss opportunities! Currently positioning for long positions within the price range, retail traders' practical strategies are disclosed.
The long entry point is right near the lower Bollinger Band, which is a short-term support level, making it a tentative long position. The stop-loss cost is manageable, and the logic is reasonable. The MACD shows a bullish crossover at low levels, combined with the price bottoming out and rebounding, indicating short-term upward momentum and technical support for the direction. The overall trend remains a weak rebound after a decline, with strong resistance from moving averages above. If the rebound cannot break through the 2290-2300 range, it is likely to fall back again. If the price falls below the previous low of 2263, the rebound trend will be broken, and long positions will face a new round of downward risk.
Additionally, our strategy should consider different scenarios. For take-profit and stop-loss, set the stop-loss around 2260 with a loss of about 0.88%, within a controllable range. After reaching the first take-profit zone at 2290-2300, you can close half of your position to protect the principal. If the price volume breaks through 2315-2320, you can hold for higher gains; otherwise, close all positions. Especially after reaching the first take-profit level, move the stop-loss up to the entry price of 2280 to lock in break-even, so even if the price pulls back later, there will be no loss.
Another condition for trend confirmation is when the price volume breaks above 2300, and the MACD DIF crosses above zero, with the Bollinger Bands opening upward again, indicating a strengthening rebound trend. You can consider adding positions or holding for higher targets.
If the price encounters resistance around 2290 and falls back, and the MACD histogram continues to shrink, it indicates insufficient rebound momentum. It is recommended to take profits immediately to avoid being caught in a trap.
Lastly, honestly, this short-term trend-following operation is similar to what some crypto friends call a counter-trend rebound strategy. Our advantage is low cost and manageable stop-loss, but the downside is that the trend has not fully reversed. Do not be overly greedy, and execution must be 100%. If the rebound weakens later, strictly follow the stop-loss and do not hold the position stubbornly. A sudden sharp decline in the second-largest crypto can easily blow up short-term longs. #加密市场小幅下跌 $ETH
