Vance questions Pentagon statements, worried that U.S. missile stockpiles may be rapidly depleted

Jin10 Data, April 28 — According to The Atlantic Monthly, during a closed-door meeting, U.S. Vice President Vance repeatedly questioned the Department of Defense's descriptions of the Iran war and doubted whether the Department of Defense was downplaying the severity of the rapid depletion of U.S. missile stockpiles.
Two senior government officials said Vance raised doubts about the accuracy of the war information provided by the Pentagon.
Several insiders also stated that he expressed concerns about the availability of certain missile systems during discussions with President Trump.
The consequences of a sharp reduction in ammunition reserves could be catastrophic.
Previously, U.S. Secretary of Defense Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Caine had publicly stated that U.S. weapon stockpiles remain sufficient and claimed that after eight weeks of fighting, the Iranian military had suffered heavy losses.
