Lately, earning testnet points has been a bit exhausting… It was originally just practice, but the moment the thought pops into my head—“This round, I must get a big airdrop”—my actions get distorted: setting alarms in the middle of the night, feeling anxious when I see others posting screenshots, and every on-chain slowdown feels like money slipping away. Put simply, when practice turns into expectations, my way of cutting losses is to set a hard limit for myself: no more than how many hours I can spend each day, and no more than how much transaction fee I can cover—if I go over, I stop. Even if it means falling behind, it’s fine.

Now, over on Layer 2, people are constantly comparing TPS, fees, and subsidies—loud and lively—but the more lively it gets, the easier it is to get pulled into the grind. I remind myself: points aren’t assets; emotions are the real cost. In any case, I’d rather move a bit slower and wait until the narrative really starts fermenting before I seriously add to my positions with more effort. For now, that’s it.
