US Media: FBI Investigates Multiple Scientists' Deaths or Disappearances
According to U.S. media reports 21, the FBI is investigating cases involving the deaths or disappearances of at least 10 scientists and is checking whether there is any connection between the various incidents. These individuals had participated in government research projects or had access to relevant sensitive information. CNN reported that the first incident occurred in 2023, when Michael Hicks, a scientist working on comet and asteroid research at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, died that year. Since then, multiple other scientists have died or gone missing, including experts in space research, aerospace engineers, nuclear energy researchers, and university research personnel, among others, with circumstances varying from case to case. In some of these cases, the police have already opened investigations. There is currently no evidence indicating a direct link between the incidents. (Xinhua News Agency)
