Iran writes to the United Nations: Demands the U.S. release the detained Iranian cargo ship

According to Iran’s News Television on the early morning of the 22nd, Iran urged the United Nations to order the United States to release the Iranian cargo ship “TOUSKA” and its crew, claiming that the U.S. detention actions are “piracy.” The report said that Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Iravani, wrote a letter on the 21st to UN Secretary-General Guterres and the rotating chair of the Security Council this month, requesting the UN to immediately and unconditionally release the Iranian cargo ship “TOUSKA,” its crew, their families, and all other affected personnel.
