These days, scrolling through DAO forums makes my eyes hurt. The proposals all sound like they’re “for the community,” but when I open the attachments, they’re full of details about subsidies, permissions, and budget allocations. Plus, with recent cross-chain bridge hacks and abnormal oracle price feeds, everyone has suddenly learned to “wait for confirmation,” and even voting is delayed until the last moment before taking a stand.

Now I basically don’t look at slogans when voting; I first check how the incentives are distributed, who receives them, and who has the authority to change the rules. To put it simply, the real power structure in proposals is hidden in these small texts: whether the budget is a one-time thing or ongoing, whether permissions are revocable or once granted, it’s hard to take back. Everyone talks about decentralization, but often voting is just deciding “who will find it more convenient to access resources in the future.” I don’t expect everyone to be right, but at least understand this clearly before deciding whether to click the button.
