CryptoWorld News reports that U.S. Representative Nick Begich announced plans to rename the Bitcoin Act as the U.S. Reserve Modernization Act (ARMA), while maintaining the same objectives. The bill’s goals include purchasing 200,000 bitcoins per year for five years to increase the national Bitcoin reserve and prevent government interference with private keys. The ARMA bill is currently awaiting review by the Senate Banking Committee; if passed, the U.S. Treasury Department is expected to begin its first official Bitcoin purchase in Q4 2026.
